How did Kat’s Cleaning Services start?
With one person and a lot of stubbornness. Kat started her own cleaning business in Las Cruces and built it job by job. She has described it plainly: starting a business was very hard work, and every hard moment she pushed through was more rewarding than the last.
In July 2026 she took her first real vacation in more than four years. Her manager took charge, business carried on as usual, and the company kept accepting new clients. A cleaning business that runs without its founder in the room for a week is a real company, not a side job.
Why does the owner still do every estimate?
Because the estimate is where trust starts. Kat walks the home, listens to what bothers you most, and gives you a price she is prepared to stand behind. When her week fills up with estimates, she asks people for a little grace rather than handing the job to someone else.
It also means she has seen your home before her team arrives. She knows about the dog, the hard water in the guest shower, and the room you would rather they skip.
What does she expect from her team?
Hard work, done with a smile. That is how she described one of her cleaners when she introduced her to clients. She introduces new team members to her clients by name, thanks them in public, and credits them on the jobs they helped with.
She is just as public about the standard. Writing to her clients in June 2026, she said her team will never be perfect, that she will always make sure they give the best service they possibly can, and that they learn from any mistake.
The goal she said out loud
Early on, Kat was watching television and wondered who cleans up after a film crew. She told the person next to her that one day it would be her.
In 2025 her team cleaned up after a short film called “The Night Driver”. In 2026 they did it again for a production called “Pandemonium”, while handling every regular home and office on the schedule. She still signs some of her posts as the Italian cleaning queen. It fits.
What comes next?
