What does a move-in cleaning include?
Everything the previous occupants left behind that you would rather not inherit. Kat described one August 2026 job simply: a full move-in cleaning, which means everything, the appliances, double ovens included, and the garage.
The exact list is agreed at the walkthrough. For most move-in cleanings it covers:
- Kitchen cabinets and drawers inside and out, counters, sink and fixtures
- Inside the oven and the refrigerator, so the first meal starts clean
- Bathrooms scrubbed: showers, tubs, toilets, vanities, mirrors and floors
- Closets, shelving, window sills, vents and light fixtures dusted
- Every floor vacuumed and mopped, and the garage swept out on request
Why clean a home before moving in?
Because it is the only time the home is empty. Once the sofa is in and the closets are full, the team cannot reach the back of a cabinet or the floor under the refrigerator without moving your things.
Desert homes collect fine dust in every gap, and a house that sat empty between owners collects more. A move-in cleaning takes it out before it becomes yours.
Move-in cleaning near Fort Bliss and NMSU
Two things drive move-in season in this part of the country: military families arriving at Fort Bliss, and students arriving at New Mexico State University. Both come with fixed dates and short windows.

How is a move-in cleaning priced?
As one flat rate, set at a free walkthrough. For a sense of scale, Kat lists a 3 bedroom, 2 bathroom move-out clean at $350, and a move-in clean covers the same ground. Oven deep cleaning is $50, $75 or $100 and refrigerator deep cleaning is $50 or $75 if you want them included.

Questions about move-in cleaning
Should the home be empty for a move-in cleaning?
Yes, as empty as possible. The whole point is reaching the surfaces that furniture will cover for years. If the movers arrive the same day, book the cleaning for the morning and mention the timing at the walkthrough.
Can Kat clean the home I am leaving and the home I am moving into?
Yes. Many clients book a move-out cleaning and a move-in cleaning for the same move. Tell Kat both addresses and both dates when you request the quote.
Do you do move-in cleaning in El Paso?
